FAQs
How do I know if therapy is right for me?
Therapy can be helpful if you feel overwhelmed, stuck, or find yourself repeating patterns that interfere with your well-being. You don't need to be in crisis to benefit. If you're ready for greater self-understanding, personal growth, or meaningful change, therapy offers a supportive place to begin. I'd welcome the opportunity to walk alongside you in that process.
What is EMDR therapy, and how can it help me?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a therapy approach that helps you work through difficult experiences that may still be affecting how you feel, think, and see yourself. Using guided eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation, EMDR helps your brain process these experiences so they feel less overwhelming and no longer have the same hold on you. It can be especially helpful for trauma, anxiety, and negative thought patterns.
Do you offer in-person or virtual therapy sessions?
I offer both in-person and virtual therapy sessions. You are welcome to choose the format that works best for you, or combine the two depending on your needs and schedule. My goal is to provide flexibility so therapy feels accessible and comfortable for you.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes, I currently accept Kaiser, Cigna, Providence, SelectHealth, and Aetna Insurances. If you have an out-of-network plan, I can also provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement, depending on your plan's benefits.
How do I get started?
Getting started is simple. Reach out to me via email, text, or phone call to schedule an initial appointment, and we can begin by discussing what brings you to therapy, what you're hoping to work toward, and how I can best support you. Taking the first step can feel daunting, but you don't have to have it all figured out. I'm happy to help you get started.
